The product page asks for four decisions. Here is how to make each one well.
Server spec
Specs run from a 1 vCPU / 1 GB trial box at $6 a month up to 8 vCPU / 16 GB. The honest guidance:
- Trying the product out — the smallest spec is fine for a look around.
- Real work — choose at least 2 vCPU and 4 GB. Databases, search, and the AI chat stack together want breathing room; undersized servers feel slow in exactly the ways that make people give up on good software.
- Heavier loads — teams above ~20 people, big imports, or analytics on large datasets should step up to the 8 GB or 16 GB options.
Region
Your server is created in the region you select, and your data stays there. Pick the region closest to most of your users — it determines latency for every click. More regions are added over time; ask support if you need one not listed.
Backup
Two options exist: No backup and Daily. Daily keeps 7 snapshots on a 7-day rolling window — lose data on Tuesday and Monday’s snapshot still has you. Servers are cheap; recreating a month of work is not. Our honest advice: Daily for anything that holds real data, No backup only for throwaway trials.
Changing your mind later
Specs are chosen at purchase. If you outgrow your server, contact support — resizing is something we do on request today, and self-serve upgrades are on the roadmap. Backups cannot be added retroactively to a running server yet either, so choose Daily upfront if in doubt.
